Social responsibility is an important part of Volkswagen’s strategy of sustainability.
For this reason the company initiates and supports projects for social development that focus on culture, education and sport within its 62 worldwide holdings.
Additionally to cultural and social projects like AMENOR in Curitibia in Brazil (which focuses on basic and advanced training) there are projects like the “A Chance to Play” initiative, which was created by the Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG and “terre des homes”, which aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and youth by linking opportunities for playing sport with learning and training initiatives.
The Volkswagen Junior Masters is an obvious and suitable platform for further CSR engagement. Sport is one of the best vehicles to educate and socialize children and to build a real feeling of community and identity.
